K so lesson to everyone apparently is don't play this game with other people EVER because who knows what someone else is doing and you will be guilty by association. So this mmorpg should not be played as one.

No the lesson here is don't sync, bot, RMT or any other form of cheating. Unless you want to be banned. Oh and that people will lie about it when caught. Not much more to say other than that.

Has anybody actually received a reply from support about their accounts being banned? Not going to say I'm innocent I used to bot like 3 years ago and was temporarily 3 day banned but I was just logging on the other day to open b-day presents and my account was insta-dhuumed :/. I submitted a ticket a week ago and still haven't received anything...
It's like yo, if you weren't going to perma ban me back then why wait 3 years to throw the hammer down? That's just ridiculous...

Yes I got an email asking me if I was satisfied or unsatisfied with their findings of which there were none as of yet. lol
I'm more concerned with a couple friends that were banned all acc's for no reason. So I've kinda been arguing their case as well. I've also been at Anet for a reason why they won't ban the gold sellers. Myself & others have repeatedly reported them & yet here they are still spamming their gold sale message in game. Unless they are using them as a sting idk but don't use them lol

No. I sent them very specific and legitimate questions. I even told them I'd be willing to purchase new accounts. Edit: It's been about 72 hours. The only response I have received is "How would you rate the support you received? Hello, We'd love to hear what you think of our customer service. Please take a moment to answer one simple question by clicking either link below"

yeah that would be a bummer to get banned opening bday gifts.
I am sure there are others who havent posted that are wondering what they did as well or why such an extreme position for this (a short ban perhaps, but if its your first time ever doing anything wrong....and its not like we didnt used to organize carto of ja and fa--no bans for doing it back then).

I think they are swamped with tickets so it's probably going to take the small amount they have taking care of it some time to reply. That & they are probably scrambling not knowing what's going on with some since it was Shazbawt that was doing it all. I just hope the right get righted heh.

The friend's account I borrowed during this recent mAT has not had any account issues since then. I don't know if that will affect your decision.

Don't use the same credit card you used on your banned account. I know people who had been insta ban for purchasing a new account with the same credit card...
I don't know who is this Shazbawt but he should stay on gw2 and stop thinking he's the savior of gw1.

Their not responding to Guild Wars 1 Tickets... Seems like they don't care much about us GW1 fans anymore... They even put shows on for the GW2 Kiddies... and Perma bans??? Someone forgot its suppose to be a Game! Their actually executing paying customers now. No way to run a game! The customer is paramount! When they forgot that; it shows there is not much left!

Games have rules and consequences for breaking those rules, depending on the severity of what you've done. You can't go through life doing whatever you like with nothing happening to you as a result, no matter what your parents might have taught you. Things like botting have implications on the economy which can impact on game sales and income, as well as depleting a playerbase by driving them onto other games. If botters/synchers and such didn't get banned, there'd be no more legit players left as we'd all say 'sod this' and quit. Now imagine that happening on every single game. You'd eventually have a group of developers say 'Hey, we do actually need to block people from our services that cause trouble like everywhere else online and in the real world!'. And then I suppose you'd complain about that because it's a game... One day you might experience first hand why rules are needed in games. I think it might help.
